ISSIE JENKINS SCHOLARSHIP

Since 1920, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated has continued its steady climb into the national spotlight with programs designed to contribute positive solutions to social issues throughout the state, region, nation and the world.

Scholarship is one of the founding principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

Statewide members of Zeta Phi Beta have continued to uphold this principle by awarding Issie Jenkins Scholarships to Maryland High School Seniors, Maryland Archonette High School Seniors and Maryland Sorors who exemplify academic excellence, strong leadership and community involvement.

The Issie Jenkins Scholarship for High School Seniors and High School Archonette Seniors requirements include the following:

  • Classification of current high school senior
  • Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher
  • Scholarship Essay
  • Letters of Recommendation

 

Requirements for Zetas include:

  • Current Active Status (Financial on all 4 levels)
  • Current enrollment in institution of higher education
  • Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher
  • Scholarship Essay
  • Letters of Recommendations

NATIONAL EDUCATION FOUNDATION

The National Education Foundation of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated with 501(c)3 status is created and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The principle activities and purpose of the trust are to award scholarship grants to worthy students for the pursuit of higher education; to conduct community educational programs which will aid in the educational and vocational improvement in individual and community standards; to engage in activities which will aid in the educational development of all women; and to engage in any appropriate research related to the purposes of the Foundation Scholarships.
