Soror Danielle R. Green, a native of Brooklyn, New York, is a graduate of Medgar Evers College with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, a Masters degree in Education Administration and Supervision from City College and a second Masters degree in Literacy Education from Adelphi University. Soror Green has been an educator and administrator for 17 years and is certified as an educator, literacy specialist, administrator, and Superintendent for the State of New York, State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. In 2008, Soror Green was selected to become a member of Cohort 8 Baltimore of New Leaders, a national non-for-profit educational organization that trains and certifies educational leaders for the urban school principalship which has received recognition for its reform in education by our national Secretary of Education Arnie Duncan and the 44th President of the United States of America Barack Obama.

Prior to joining Baltimore City Public Schools in August 2002, Soror Green was an Elementary Educator within the New York City Board of Education. For five years, Soror Green taught at Public School 9 in Brooklyn, New York. Soror Green’s tenure within Baltimore City Public Schools has included her being a Staff Developer, Assistant Principal, and a Resident Principal. In 2009, Soror Green became one of only three persons in the State of Maryland to charter and become Founding Principal of a Transformation School within the Baltimore City Public School System for students who are over-aged and under-credited. This accelerator model school under Soror Green’s leadership within a two year period doubled its enrollment and achieved a 100% graduation rate with its first graduating class in 2011. Soror Green and the school were recognized by the Maryland State Department of Education and Baltimore City Public Schools for more than quadrupling the graduation rate within one school year. After over a decade of honorable service and dedication to the youth of Baltimore City, Soror Green decided to continue her service in the field of education in another urban setting of need. Currently, Soror Green is an administrator within the District of Columbia Public Schools.

Soror Green is a member of several professional and civic organizations and is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Soror Green is a charter member of Chi Beta Zeta Chapter, where she served as 1st Vice-President from 2008-2012. She has held a number of positions within Zeta including Maryland State Director Executive Assistant 2005-2009, Atlantic Regional Director Executive Assistant 2009, and Maryland State Representative to the Regional Elections Committee 2012. Soror Green received her Zeta Organizational Leadership (ZOL) certification in 2005 as a member of Cohort I. In April of 2013, Soror Green became a Life Member and in December of that same year she also became a Diamond Level Contributor.  Soror Green serves as the moderator and facilitator of Zeta’s International Town-Hall Meetings and is one of four State Directors who were appointed by International President Mary Breaux Wright as inaugural Group Leaders for Zeta’s State Directors.
